Take 1: Ich konsumiere, also bin ich. One of my best friends from high school (now based in Berlin) pinged me last week on Linkedin. We haven’t spoken in more than a decade! In the message, he wrote “I’m quitting my job soon and reevaluating lot of things.”
We were in Kashmir Gulshan bhai last week. In Srinagar, we were walking by the market. And we stopped at a fast food joint to eat. The whole time, for more than an hour, a poor boy kept standing there - asking us to buy pens he was selling, asking us for food. We gave him some money, we bought him some food.
But the experience still left a strong mark on me. It was kind of my moment of being shaken. :-)
I hope life keeps giving us such chances to get shaken up. And we can grow in equanimity and love. :-)
Ah Rohit! Yesterday evening (Sunday) I read this and it shook me to the core and I am still soaking it in!
I believe when the sharing comes from the great alignment of head and heart, it has this kind of effect !
